James D. Moore is a disabled veteran of the Afghan theater of conflict in
the ‘War on Terror', and a fellow We Are Change activist. The Denver
Police Department has hospitalized James in a 'Rodney King' style act
of violent assault. He currently faces bogus assault charges and
needs financial assistance to hire an attorney. ANYTHING HELPS!!! For pics
of injuries he and his wife sustained, please go to freedomfighterradio.net

James D. Moore will be on Freedom Fighter Radio Tuesday Night To Talk about
this live from his hospital bed we will take calls.
The following is the best recollection of the events of that night based on
what I have been told by victim, Julie Gomez: James D. Moore is a 2 tour
veteran of the Afghanistan conflict and member of
<http://wearechangecolorado.org/> wearechangecolorado.
3days ago his girlfriend and he engaged in a verbal argument in
their apartment and their neighbors called the police. After reconciling, they
decided at about 6:20 pm to go grocery shopping and headed outside their
complex to await the arrival of their cab. The police then pulled up and
asked them if they lived in room 508.
They confirmed this and the officer then asked or demanded to see
James's license. He refused and inquired as to why they needed to see it.
Both officers proceeded to tackle James to the ground and he did not
resist. After one of the officers rolled him to his stomach, James stated
that the offending officer would be going to jail for this trespasses.
This statement enraged both arresting officers so much that they proceeded to
beat James into unconsciousness and an ambulance was called to transport him
to the hospital. Aside from their appendages, the officers assaulted James D.
Moore with a device composed of leather and steel that is typically used to
knock on the doors of residences.
James’ wife, Julie Gomez, witnessed this occurrence and can confirm all
that has been stated. Furthermore, there was a separate witness whom
resides in their building and he can be summoned as Julie had the presence
of mind to record his license plate information present on his vehicle. As all
of this was taking place, Julie Gomez understandably was panicked and began
to scream at the top of her lungs for the arresting officers to stop beating
her spouse. It is my understanding that she never once made physical contact
with either officer while doing so, and this maybe due to the fact that
another officer arrived on the seen and proceeded to tackler her to the
ground and arrest her as well. Julie Gomez was at no time informed of the
location or status of her spouse James Moore. During arrest, Julie screamed
for 'help' from aforementioned eye-witness and neighbor to call the police on
the police and supposedly this did occur. Too add insult to injury,
while crying in her holding cell later that evening, her arresting
officer, whom was over 6 feet tall, harassed and mocked Julie by reenacting
her cries for help earlier that night by stating, "Somebody help me!
Please! Somebody help!" The officer then proceeded to smirk at her and
chuckled as he walked past.
Injuries sustained by James D. Moore include but are not limited to:
cuts, scrapes and bruises covering the totality of his body and
extremities, two black eyes, a left eye which has sustained broken blood
vessels in the white portion of that eye as to render the affected
region completely red, blood clots throughout his body, labored
breathing caused by bruised lungs and possibly cracked ribs or collarbone,
damage to his kidney, a broken/fractured right cheekbone and a visible
gash upon his scalp line.
Injuries sustained by Julie Gomez include but are not limited to: bruising
of her right eye (black eye) caused by the frames of her glasses she
was wearing as the arresting officer forcibly pushed her face into
the sidewalk as she was laying on her stomach, cuts and scrapes on her knees,
shins, wrists and other extremities.
Thank you again for your consideration anything you could do to help would
be very much appreciated. This is sure to be a lengthy and expensive process
for both James and Jules and they will need more help than I am capable of
lending as they have been evicted as a result of this, embarrassed beyond
comprehension and are facing bogus 2nd degree assault charges against a peace
officer. All I had was $100 to contribute to bail so thank you again if only
for helping to spread this message!
Respectfully,
